LIGHTNING ON SATURN 
I recently collaborated on a video with brilliant visual artist Andreas Karaoulanis (also known Bestbefore).  People have described the abstract style of the video as a Paul Klee painting in motion. LIGHTNING ON SATURN uses my original composition which includes electric guitar, Moog synthesizer, and actual sounds of Saturn recorded by NASA’s Cassini spacecraft which explored the planet for many years beginning in 2004. (Andreas also created video for my piece Corporate Coitus.)

ES LEBEN DIE RASEN RAUCHER 
ES LEBEN DIE RASEN RAUCHER is a four-part medley—each in a different language: German, English, Hebrew, and Korean. The Korean section is one word: Saranghamnida which means “I love you.” May we all live to hear these words.

O ASHLEY! 
 O ASHLEY! is a 2-part ballata, a form used by composers like Francesco Landini in 14th-century Italy.

ES LEBEN DIE RASEN RAUCHER 
Teaching music at a local prep school, I asked my students to write lyrics for a song. From all the inventive entries, I chose four of the lyrics in four different languages (German, English, Hebrew, and Korean) to make a medley. The piece is presently being produced by the renowned Steve Fisk and will be ready to hear soon!

New Music News January 2023 

THREE WOMEN OF THE AENEID
I finished Three Women from The Aeneid,  a 30-minute, one-woman opera based on speeches from Virgil’s Aeneid. The seven-movement work includes an instrumental prelude and interludes, uses the original Latin, and is set for mezzo-soprano and 15 instruments. A midi orchestra mock-up with a real voice can be heard HERE.

FIVE PIECES FOR SOLO GUITAR
Robert Paul Sullivan, my teacher when I attended the New England Conservatory, remains a great friend. I add to my extensive music for guitar with these Five Pieces dedicated to him. Five Pieces was performed in early December by guitarist Joseph Hagedorn who also recorded them—to be available soon. The score is available HERE.

SEVEN PIECES FOR SOLO GUITAR
Seven Pieces for solo guitar contains two original pieces and five arrangements including elegant renditions of Somewhere Over The Rainbow, New York, New York, and Happy Birthday. The music is available HERE. 

THE SILBA SUITE FOR FLUTE AND GUITAR
Composed on an idyllic island in the Adriatic Sea, The Silba Suite is a set of 5 pieces for flute and guitar written for some friends of mine. The music is available on My Score.
